MagSprings provide a constant force throughout their entire range of motion. They are totally passive devices requiring no electricity or pneumatic power. When used with LinMot linear motors in vertical applications, MagSprings are sized to raise vertical loads to a safe position upon power shutdown. Rather than using a large motor to raise the payload, now only a small motor is required to lower the payload during normal operations.
