Don’t take unnecessary risks during line-pulling operations.

iPullForce™ is a programmable device used to measure and display the tension force and distance of the pull line of a winch during line-pulling operations. It gives you complete visibility, reducing the potential for line breakage or damage to equipment.

APPLICATIONS:
Utility Line Stringing
Underground Cable Pulling
Water & Sewer Line Maintenance
Tower Erection & Maintenance
Windmill Maintenance
Underground Mine Emergency Evacuation

When the measured force value is at, or exceeds, the set limits, the hydraulic control valve can unload the pump if the winch is driven hydraulically.

WINCH LINE CONTROL

The iPullForce™ is a programmable device used to measure and display the tension force and distance of the pull line of a winch during line-pulling operations. It includes a measuring device, which encases the pull-line, and a visual interface (HMI) to set and monitor all measured conditions.
The HMI emits an audible warning (intermittent and continuous buzzer) and visual alert when set parameters are reached or exceeded. The HMI includes an optional video feed obtained by one or more cameras positioned along the pull route to monitor the status of pulleys, blocks and other devices.

CAPSTAN LINE FORCE CONTROL

The iPullForce™ is also capable of taking tension force measurements when the winch drum is disconnected and its capstan is used for assisting a manual line pull.

FEATURES

  • The iPullForce™ comprises a measuring apparatus (engaged with the line or with the hydraulic system powering the winch), a controller apparatus, and video camera(s).
  • Is powered by the vehicle’s battery or by a locally available electrical source.
  • Is enclosed in a portable case or in an enclosure mounted on the service vehicle.
  • Alarm conditions are relayed audibly and visually.
  • Display can be remotely located from the truck and can include a forward/reverse winch-control switch. This setup allows operators to stand away from the danger zones, which are close to the winch and the truck.

BENEFITS

  • Reduces potential damage to blocks, pulleys and other equipment due to excessive force during line-pulling operations.
  • Allows crew to be compliant with engineered specifications for line tension, minimizing breakage due to excess force.
  • Optional automatic shutdown of equipment during alarm conditions increases worker safety.
  • Video monitoring provides additional visibility to operating conditions.
